You will need two documents (click on them to obtain):

  • Rules of the Competition - readable online
  • Application form - downloadable PDF format

    • Please note you will need the free Acrobat Reader to view PDF files. Most computers have this, but you can also get it from the Adobe website.

    In order to apply, you will need to send:

  • The Registration Fee - £25 or £15 for students in full-time education (cheques made payable to "The John Kerr Award")
  • a CV and short, printed (not hand-written) biography
  • Recording (see rules) - on Compact Disc, Mini Disc or Cassette
  • The completed application form

    Relevant dates:

  • 10 July 2008 - Closing date for applications
  • 31 July 2008 - Final date to request the official accompanist
  • 3 & 4 October 2008 - Rehearsal days at Finchcocks Museum
  • 5 October 2008 - Final of the Competition at Finchcocks
